St. Francis Borgia Regional High School announced Friday morning that Kevin Mabie has been named principal for the 2013-14 school year.
Mabie, of Ballwin, is currently serving as assistant principal at St. Dominic High School, O’Fallon.
He will replace Dr. Brad Heger who is retiring after six years of service at the Catholic co-ed high school.
Mabie received his BA in English Education from Lindenwood University in 2000. He completed his Masters in Education Administration from Lindenwood in 2003, and is currently working on his dissertation toward his doctorate.
He has taught English and journalism at Fort Zumwalt West High School and Parkway Central High School.
At Parkway Central, he served as the director of the college admissions program and was instrumental in developing the Professional Learning Communities.
As the assistant principal at St. Dominic, his duties have included the supervision of teachers in English, math and science, coordinator of college credit, professional development coordinator, and was influential in curriculum development.
Mabie will begin his new duties July 1. He and his wife Kelly, and four children plan to relocate to Washington.
