No new candidates filed for open Washington City Council seats or Washington School Board seats that will be on the April ballot.

The deadline for candidates to file was 5 p.m. Tuesday.

The candidates for Washington council seats are:

Ward 1 — Walt Meyer, incumbent, and Tom Coulter.

Ward 2  — Jeff Mohesky, incumbent.

Ward 3 — Connie Groff, incumbent, and Jeffrey Patke.

Ward 3 — Greg Skornia, one-year unexpired term.

Ward 4 — Joe Holtmeier, incumbent.

School Board

Three candidates are seeking two open seats on the school board. They include incumbent Daniel Contarini, Trish Mitchell and John Lippert, all of Washington.

Mitchell, who lives at 821 W. Fifth St., and Lippert, 2564 Stonecrest Drive, are both making their first run for school board.

Contarini, who resides at 1305 E. Third St., is completing a three-year term. He also served on the board in the late ’90s.

Rick Rehmeier, a longtime board member, already announced he would not seek re-election.
