The new parochial administrator at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish in Washington will be the Rev. James D. Theby, who is currently the associate pastor at St. Clare of Assisi in Ellisville.

Father Jim Theby, 35, was ordained in 2008. His first assignment was associate pastor at Assumption Parish in O’Fallon.

While growing up, he was a member of Incarnate Word Parish in Chesterfield, where his parents still live. Father Jim is the oldest of four children. He is a graduate of DeSmet High School.

He will assume his new duties at Lourdes June 17.

The Very Rev. Michael Boehm, V.F., made the announcement at the Saturday night and Sunday morning Masses.

Father Mike, who has served as pastor for the past five years at Lourdes, recently was appointed Vicar for Priests for the Archdiocese of St. Louis. He will assume his new role in June, and will reside at St. Michael Parish in Shrewsbury.

A reception will be held for Father Mike Saturday, June 14, after the 5 p.m. Mass in the parish hall.

Joining Father Jim Theby at Lourdes will be the Rev. Donald Glastetter as retired priest in residence. Father Glastetter is currently associate pastor at St. Patrick Parish in Wentzville. He is orginally from this area.
