Projects on alternate routes should not interfere with detouring traffic during next year’s Hhighway 47 bridge over Flat Creek construction.

Judy Wagner, area engineer with MoDOT (Missouri Department of Transportation), Wednesday told members of the Highway 47 committee that Highway A, south of Krakow, is expected to be complete before work on the bridge begins in 2015.

“Highway A should be done by this year, at least the south end will be finished,” she said. “Next they will go from Krakow to the north.”

The work calls for the addition of lanes to north of the bridge over Flat Creek. It is estimated to cost $4,557,000.
