Incumbent Daniel Contarini and newcomer Trish Mitchell were elected to three-year terms on the Washington School Board in Tuesday's election.

Contarini polled 3,416 votes to earn 33.91 percent of the total vote.

This is his second consecutive term on the school board. He also served as a board member from 1997-2000.

Mitchell received 3,691, or 36.6 percent of the total. Lippert received 2,901, or 28.8 percent of the votes.

There were 63 write-in votes, which totaled .63 percent of the vote total.

Those are the unofficial vote totals for the school district. The Washington School District has voters in three counties, including Franklin, St. Charles and Warren.
