A Franklin County teen has been charged in connection with the theft last month of a motorized shopping cart, Washington police said.
Alexander D. Burns, 18, Villa Ridge, is charged in a felony complaint with one count of stealing property valued at more than $500.
A $15,000 bond was set in the case.
Burns is accused of stealing the motorized cart Dec. 23, 2013, from the Target store in Phoenix Center II, according to police.
Witnesses reported seeing a number of young men lift the cart and place it in the bed of a pickup truck, police said.
Police began investigating and located the truck in nearby Phoenix Park and recovered the cart.
At this point, Burns is the only suspect charged in the case, according to Detective Sgt. Steve Sitzes.
