A total of 126 permits were issued by Washington’s building department during the month of September, according to a city report.
Listed below is a breakdown of the types of projects, number of permits issued and estimated cost for those projects.
Residential addition, three permits, $231,000
Commercial alteration, 11 permits, $1,377,447;
Industrial alteration, three permits, $201,700;
Residential alteration, five permits, $55,166;
Blasting, one permit, $33,000;
Municipal building, one permit, $750,000;
Single-family building, one permit, $130,000;

Demolition, one permit, $500;
Electrical service, five permits, $5,100;
Garage, one permit, $30,000
Commercial certificate of occupancy, seven permits;
Multifamily occupancy, 20 permits,
Single-family certificate of occupancy, 45 permits;
Two-family certificate of occupancy, 10 permits;
Sign, five permits, $14,991;
Street excavation, two permits, $6,440;
Swimming pool, one permit, $70,000; and sewer lateral/repair, $1,500.
There were a total of 125 permits issued totaling $2,918,944 in valuation.
September’s permits were higher than August in many categories.
In August, there was only on permit each for commercial addition, industrial alteration and municipal building.
There were three permits issued for commercial alterations, four residential alteration permits and three deck permits.
There was one permit for a fire sprinkler system and one for fireworks. Three garage permits were granted.
There was one grading permit; 32 multifamily certificate of occupancy; 49 single-family certificate of occupancy; seven two-family certificate of occupancy permits.
There were four sign permits and two sewer lateral/repair permits.
The estimated valuation for all 129 projects was $411,632.
