Washington detectives are following leads in the break-in last weekend at a gas station/convenience store.
Detective Steve Sitzes said cigarettes, alcohol and some lottery tickets were missing from the West End Station at West Fifth Street and Clay Avenue.
An officer on routine patrol passed by the station about 1:45 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 1, and noticed that the glass front door was shattered. Police found two large rocks inside the building.
Sitzes said police do have footage from video surveillance cameras which show two white males leaving the building and heading north across Fifth Street toward the Washington Elks Hall.
