A total of 129 building permits were issued in Washington during the month of August, according to a report by the city’s building department.
Listed below is a breakdown of the projects, number of permits issued and estimated cost for those projects.
Commercial addition, one permit, $40,000;
Commercial alteration, three permits, $26,500;
Industrial alteration, one permit, $100,000;
Residential alteration, four permits, $778,260;
Municipal building, one permit, $7,000;
Commercial building, three permits, $16,697;
Deck, three permits, $9,400;
Electrical service, four permits, $4,925;
Fire sprinkler system, one permit, $1,800;
Fireworks, one permit, $10,000;
Garage, three permits, $22,500;
Grading, one permit, $75,000;
Commercial certificate of occupancy, nine permits;
Multi-family certificate of occupancy, 32 permits;
Single-family certificate of occupancy, 49 permits;
Two-family certificate of occupancy, seven permits;
Sign, four permits, $9,300;
Sewer lateral/repair, two permits, $10,250.
The total estimated cost of the projects is $411,632.
The municipal project is for an Eagle Scout project.
The new commercial projects include a hood suppression system, low voltage wiring and a security system in new buildings in the Phoenix Center II development.
There were no new residential permits in August.
