Ready to Relay
Hundreds of third- through sixth-grade students from 14 area schools attended the eighth annual Jordan Scheer Memorial Children’s Relay for Life Friday, April 26, at Washington High School. The event was held indoors because of rain earlier in the day and forecasted rain in the evening. Students raised more than $17,000 to donate to the Franklin County Relay for Life. Over the past eight years, more than $158,000 has been raised in memory of Jordan Scheer, a WHS student who passed away shortly after his graduation in 2005. Missourian Photo.
