Becky Stieffermann has been named the new assistant for the Washington Area Chamber of Commerce and Washington Fair.
Stieffermann who most recently worked in community relations for the Four Rivers Area YMCA will replace Brandy Kimminau at the Chamber office.
“We’re excited to have Becky come on board and feel her experience working both with the Fair on the queen committee and previously with the YMCA and United Way is a good fit,” said Jennifer Giesike, Chamber president and Fair manager.
Stieffermann will continue to serve on the queen committee, which is a volunteer position.
The Washington Fair is a division of the Chamber of Commerce.
As both Chamber and Fair assistant, Stieffermann said she will be involved in a “little bit of everything” at the office. Her first day was last Wednesday.
“I’m looking forward to working in both areas,” she said.
Stieffermann has a bachelor’s degree in social work from William Woods University. She is a graduate of St. Francis Borgia Regional High School.
She lives in Warrenton with her husband Eric and two children, Tyler and Haylee.
