Two teenagers were injured, one seriously, Tuesday night in a one-vehicle crash on Country Club Road south of Washington.
The Missouri Highway Patrol reported that Joshua T. Vandiver, 16, Union, was southbound on Country Club and failed to negotiate a curve. The 1997 Ford pickup truck he was driving ran off the left side of the road and struck a tree.
Vandiver, who was wearing a safety belt, sustained moderate injuries. A passenger, Lucas J. Englaenender, 16, Union, was not wearing a seat and he received serious injuries, according to the preliminary patrol report. Both were taken by Washington Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Washington for treatment.
The 9:05 p.m. crash happened about eight-tenths of a mile south of Highway A, the patrol said.
