The Washington Planning and Zoning Commission will meet Monday, May 12, at 7 p.m. in the city council chambers.
The commission will get a second chance to look at two preliminary plat applications after tabling the requests last month. The commission requested that officials review a code provision regarding corner lots with frontage on two streets.
The issue with both tabled applications is a code provision requiring front yard setbacks on both sides of a corner lot. The setback is determined based on the front yard setback of adjacent existing buildings, said Dan Boyce, city engineer.
On the agenda for Monday’s meeting, City Attorney Mark Piontek will present information relating to a code amendment for the definition of a rear yard. Based on that, the commission will review the tabled items.
Also on the agenda for Monday’s meeting, Brown Land Management LLC is seeking a special use permit for an open storage area for pipeline service equipment in a M-2 industrial district.
The commission also will review two items from Northern Star Homes LLC. The first item is a preliminary plat approval. The second is a rezoning request from a single-family attached residence zoning district to a single-family residence zoning district
The last item on the agenda will be a sketch plan for Conrad Acres plat 3.
