A Union teenager was seriously injured Thursday, May 18, in a vehicle crash on Highway V, west of Clearview Road in Franklin County.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol preliminary report, Keri M. Long, 16, was driving a 2001 Ford Explorer eastbound on Highway V when she failed to maintain the lane, traveled off the roadway and overturned. The vehicle slid off the roadway and caught fire, the patrol said.
Long was transported by Union Ambulance to Mercy Hospital Washington.
She was not wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.
