Union Cub Scout Pack 446 Leader Ralph Tucker recently was named the 2017 Osage District Cub Scout Leader of the Year.

Ralph was nominated for the award by both Joseph Purschke, district chairman of the Osage District, and Kami Farrell, Webelo den leader.

Pack 446 is chartered by Immaculate Conception Church in Union. It is part of the Osage District, which covers all of Franklin and Crawford counties, as well as southern Warren County.

“Ralph goes above and beyond to instill the Boy Scout values in the boys of Pack 446,” said Purschke, who also has a son in the pack. “Ralph and Kami are a terrific team, always looking for new programs and outdoor activities to interest the boys and their families.”

Pack 446 also received a Summer Activities Award for their year-round commitment to Scouting.

“This award would not be possible without the tireless work of Kami, Ralph and our other Scout leaders,” Purschke said.

Pack 446 was the only pack in the Osage District to receive the award for 2017.

Additionally, Farrell won the “Sparkplug Award” for creating an exciting atmosphere of learning and fun for Pack 446.
