A Union man has been charged after police said he forged two checks.

Jeremy R. Wright, 41, was charged with felony forgery in Franklin County Associate Circuit Court. The charges are from two incidents in April.

According to a probable cause statement filed by Union police with the Franklin County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office, Wright was seen on video on April 8 buying several items from the Union Walmart.

Police said Wright paid for the item using a check belonging to someone else.

Union police said Wright later wrote a check from the same account to himself and cashed it. For that check, he forged the signature of the actual account holder.

The account holder told police Wright did not have permission to use the checks.

The two forged checks were for $315.94 and $550.
