Trinity Presbyterian Church, at 727 Melinda Drive and Highway 47 in Union will be hosting its annual Live Nativity.

The event will be Saturday, Dec. 8, and Sunday, Dec. 9. Both nights will be from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Performances are presented every 15 minutes. The event is free.

Visitors to the church will be able to pet a variety of animals, both indoors and outdoors. They will begin in a Roman census where they will encounter being assessed to be taxed as Mary and Joseph were.

In the market, guests will taste food such as raisins and nuts, see livestock, and hear merchants selling their wares. This tour will allow guests to experience the sights, sounds, and smells of the ancient market.

Mingling with the vendors in the market, they will hear of the young couple about to give birth. As they hear more about the couple, they will follow the innkeeper’s daughters as they journey to find the baby in the manger.

As they return from their journey, visitors are invited inside for refreshments, live music, and a time to rest and reflect on the Christmas story.
