A truck was stolen from a Union U.S. Bank location last Wednesday afternoon.
Union police said a 2003 green and gold Ford F-150 was reported stolen Wednesday, Aug. 29, just before 4 p.m. The truck was taken from the parking lot of U.S. Bank at 201 S. Oak St.
The truck owner told police he went inside the bank, but left the doors unlocked, and the keys in the vehicle. Police said someone came and took the truck while the owner was inside the bank.
Also in the truck was the victim’s cellphone, medications and painting supplies.
Union police responded to the 800 block of Greenbriar Court just before 1:45 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 29, for a reported physical altercation.
The reporting party told police he had gotten into a fight with his brother. The man told officers his brother was “high on drugs and throwing things around the house,” according to Union police.
During the investigation, officers said they located illegal drugs on the man. The man had warrants out of St. Louis County and was taken into custody.
Just before midnight Tuesday, Aug. 28, Union officers responded to the 500 block of West Locust Street for a possible burglary.
Police were told a male suspect was inside the residence but would not come to the door. Officers were given a key to the apartment to check the apartment for anybody inside.
The officers located a 30-year-old man inside the residence. After a short investigation the man was arrested for trespassing.
