There is another round of a "phishing" scam that is aimed at United Bank of Union customers.
Those who receive the calls are told their bank cards have been deactivated. There have been phone calls made in this area as recent as Thursday afternoon.
Scammers are using the bank’s name in a prerecorded message, and are hitting banks nationwide with the same telephone scam.
Those who feel they may have provided confidential information to the scammer should call their bank immediately.
