A 42-year-old Union man who drove a school bus has been arrested for sexual misconduct after allegedly writing sexually explicit notes to a 16-year-old female Union High School student, authorities said.

The mother of the girl reported to Union police that the driver had written “numerous long inappropriate sexually explicit notes.”

The girl was passenger on the bus driven by the suspect. The notes were given to the girl between Feb. 25 and March 8, police said.

The man was a arrested and released pending formal charges after he confessed to writing the notes

The suspect had been employed by First Student, the company with which the Union R-XI School District contracts bus services.

Superintendent Steve Bryant said the man is no longer employed by the company.
