There will be more than 15 booths Saturday at the Union Chamber of Commerce first Market on Main event in downtown Union.

Chamber Director Aimee Frey said the event will feature handmade goods, including jams and jellies and tie-dyed clothes; and sales from independent consultants including Thirty-One and Origami Owl.

“We have a pretty good mix of vendors,” Frey said. “We’re pretty happy with what we have.”

She noted that there also will be civic organizations, including the Union Kiwanis Club and Union Masonic Lodge that will participate. There will be food available for purchase.

The event is a chance for area residents to find something unique, Frey added.

This is the first of many events that will “focus on the square.”

Frey has said that she intends to draw attention to the “Union Town Square.”

She added that a town square, including one that features a historic courthouse, is a great attribute for a community.

The public is invited to come to the event and check out the sale items.
