Funeral Services for Fire Victims, Family Seeks Donations

Donations are being accepted to help pay funeral costs for the three victims of Friday, March 22 fire in Union.

Visitation for Samantha Cooksey, 24, and her children Allison Cooksey, 6, and Logan Berger, 1, will be Thursday, March 28, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Oltmann's Funeral Home in Union.

The visitation is open to the public and a gravesite ceremony will immediately follow.

Family members of Steven Berger, the boyfriend of Samantha and father of Logan, are asking for donation to assist in paying for the funeral services. Donations can be made to the Steven Berger Trust at the United Bank of Union.

The family is hoping to raise $3,500 by 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 27, or they may not be able to proceed with the planned service.

To make donations of clothing, furniture or other material items, people may call 636-583-6493 to make arrangements.
