Because of the inclement weather expected to continue through Saturday, the opening day for the St. Clair Route 66 Farmers Market has been postponed one week.

Organizer Paula Dace said on Friday morning that Saturday’s market has been canceled because of the rain and chilly conditions. It was scheduled for 8 a.m. to noon in the grassy area near the St. Clair HealthMart Pharmacy.

The market now is scheduled to operate from May 11 through October.
