Two St. Clair residents were injured in a car crash Sunday, July 8.

Cassandra S. Webb, 18, St. Clair, was driving a 2006 Chevrolet Cobalt on Mill Hill Road, near Bruns Bridge, when she failed to negotiate a curve and traveled across the centerline and off the left side of the road, struck a barbed-wire fence and a tree at 7:12 p.m., according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol preliminary report.

Webb and passenger Justin Z. Highley, 18, St. Clair, were taken to Mercy Hospital Washington by St. Clair Ambulance with injuries.

The driver was wearing a seat belt, but the passenger was not, the patrol said.
