St. Clair police arrested two men Sunday, Nov. 12, after finding a loaded handgun and drugs inside a vehicle.
Officers were investigating a report of suspicious activity at a location off Maple Street at 7:28 p.m. When officers arrived on the scene, they found Brett R. Thompson, 34, St. Clair, and Eric T. Bicknell, 30, Union, in a Town and Country minivan, according to Police Chief Bill Hammack.
Inside the vehicle, police found a loaded Ruger P89 handgun, ammunition, 82 grams of marijuana and amphetamine.
Thompson, a convicted felon was arrested on the scene and has been charged with unlawful possession of a firearm and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. His bond was set at $25,000 cash only, according to Hammack.
Bicknell arrested on an outstanding warrant for failure to appear in court after driving with a revoked driver’s license.
