A Sullivan High School student recently received an award for his achievements.
Noah Bohn, a Sullivan High School student in the Teaching Careers program at the Four Rivers Career Center, was recognized as the Region 6 Breaking Traditions Award recipient.
The Breaking Traditions Award is sponsored by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in order to recognize outstanding nontraditional career and technical students and the adults who support them.
Teaching Careers instructor Jenny Meers nominated Bohn because of his outstanding work in the program. Bohn is focusing on becoming an elementary teacher. Bohn will receive a $100 prize through the Missouri STEM foundation and will qualify for a number of scholarships at various local community colleges.
Jackie Marling with DESE presented the award to Bohn. Meers was also recognized for making the nomination.
