A Sullivan man was killed Sunday, Oct. 22, when the truck he was driving struck a tree.
Robert D. Blum, 56, Sullivan, was driving a 2012 Ford F-250 northbound on Highway 185 when he traveled off the east side of the road and struck a tree at 11:58 a.m., according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol preliminary report.
Blum was pronounced dead by Dr. Robert Kunkel. Passenger Douglas D. Blum, 19, Sullivan, was taken to Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital for injuries.
Neither the driver nor the passenger were wearing seat belts, according to the patrol.
