The “second chance” breakfasts at St. Clair Junior High and High School have been successful, according to Assistant Superintendent Nadine Aitch.
“We’ve provided 162 extra breakfasts at the junior high level and 74 at the high school just in one week,” Aitch said during Thursday’s board meeting.
The “second chance” breakfasts allows students to purchase breakfast after first hour. The program started this fall.
The junior high and high school received a $9,600 equipment grant from Midwest Dairy Council and the NFL “Fuel Up to Play 60” Nutritional Program to purchase two breakfast carts for the program.
