Below is a list of activities at the St. Clair Scenic Regional Library for January.
Story time is Thursday at 11 a.m. and Read, Build, Play is every Saturday at 11 a.m.
Jan. 3: The home-schooled group activity includes robotics at 11 a.m.
Jan. 6: Return to Hogwarts from 1 to 4 p.m.
There will be snacks, wand making, games, movie and a costume contest.
Jan. 9: Puzzle night at 6 p.m.
There will be jigsaw puzzles to choose from or feel free to bring your own.
Jan. 13: Vision board workshop at 2 p.m.
All materials will be provided, but feel free to bring your own pictures to use for this free adult program.
Jan. 17: The home-schooled group activity includes “Minute to Win It” games at 11 a.m.
Jan. 20: Kindness Is Cool from 2-3:30 p.m.
There will be scarf making for someone in need this winter.
Jan. 25: News sources workshop at 6 p.m.
Leigh Kolb, an English and journalism instructor at East Central College, will discuss the historical context of “fake news” and the ramifications of the phenomenon.
She will teach basic news literacy skills, which help individuals recognize and combat fake news. Participants will go home with handouts and worksheets.
