A St. Clair man was charged with domestic assault for allegedly punching his ex-wife and another male victim.
Glenn Paul Armistead, 41, St. Clair, was charged in Franklin County Associate Court with one count of burglary in the first degree, one count of domestic assault in the first degree and one count of assault in the third degree.
The charges stem from an incident that occurred at a residence on Mosley Avenue Aug. 27. St. Clair police were dispatched to the residence at 6:30 p.m. regarding a female being assaulted, according to Police Chief Bill Hammack.
Officers found a 39-year-old female and a 41-year-old male with visible injuries to their faces.
The female told police that her ex-husband, Armistead, walked into the residence and started punching the 41-year-old male in the face. When she tried to stop him, he began to punch her in the face with his fist.
She told police when she attempted to flee and ran outside the house, he chased her into the yard, knocked her down and began stomping on the back of her head, according to Hammack.
Before police arrived, Armistead fled the scene. The female victim sustained facial fractures and fractures to her rib cage area.
Armistead was arrested Aug. 28 and his bond was set at $100,000.
