A St. Clair man was charged with domestic assault after allegedly choking and striking a woman.
Joshua Brown, 35, was charged in Franklin County Associate Circuit Court with domestic assault in the second degree Aug. 27.
The charges stem from an incident on Aug. 14 when a 34-year-old female told police Brown had assaulted her at her residence off N. Commercial Road, according to Police Chief Bill Hammack.
She told police that Brown choked her and struck in the face. On Aug. 27, Brown was located and arrested by a St. Clair officer and by a sheriff’s deputy in Lake St. Clair.
His bond was set at $25,000, according to Hammack.
