St. Clair crews responded to a residential fire Thursday afternoon, April 12. No injuries were reported.
Around 4:30 p.m. crews were dispatched to the 1500 block of Fair Oaks Court for a report of a structure fire.
Crews were told by the caller that the back of the house was on fire, according to Fire Capt. Dan Cooley.
When crews arrived on the scene, they found heavy fire at the structure with flames showing through the roof. Cooley said a second alarm was dispatched to get more equipment and manpower to assist. It took firefighters about 45 minutes to bring the blaze under control.
Crews remained on the scene for several hours to ensure the fire was out. They left at 7 p.m. The cause of this fire was deemed accidental, according to Cooley.
St. Clair firefighters were assisted by Pacific, Union, Boles, Sullivan fire districts and St. Clair Ambulance.
