Below is a list of events for St. Clair High School Court Warming Week Dec. 18-21.

Spirit Days “Deck the Court”

Monday Dec. 18: Dreaming of a white Christmas. Dress in pajamas;

Tuesday Dec. 19: Hark the ugly sweaters appear. Wear an ugly sweater;

Wednesday Dec. 20: On the third day of Court Warming, wear winter character apparel;

Thursday Dec. 21: All we want for Christmas is A win. Dress in red, gray and green.

Spirit Stick Competition: Classes will be competing for the coveted Court Warming Spirit Stick.

The criteria to win the spirit stick includes: spirit day participation, powder buff participation, pre-sold dance tickets, class hallway/tree decorating and a class competition at the assembly.

The winning class will receive the spirit stick at the assembly. Group photos will be taken each morning of Spirit Week at 7:45 a.m. in the high school gymnasium of students who participate in the dress-up days to tabulate participation.

Hall Decorating: Each class will decorate their designated hallways reflecting one of the four seasons.

The senior theme is winter, the junior theme is spring, the sophomore theme is summer and freshman theme is fall.

Powder Buff: The annual guys’ Powder Buff volleyball tournament will be played in the high school gymnasium on Wednesday, Dec. 20 at 6 p.m. Admission is a $1 donation to St. Clair High School Special Olympics. Please support our SCHS Special Olympians.

Pep Assembly: The pep assembly will be Thursday, Dec. 21, from 9:55-10:55 a.m. in the high school gymnasium.

The pep assembly will include a performance by the SCHS Jazz Band, SCHS Choir, class games, a competition for the Court Warming candidates and a candidate shopping cart parade.

The Court Warming Spirit Stick will be awarded to the class that has the most participation throughout Courtwarming week. The Powder Buff volleyball championship game will also be played between the final two teams.

Donations to benefit SCHS Special Olympics will be collected at the assembly. Parents and community members are welcome to join.

Court Warming Games: Boys basketball vs. Windsor Owls. Freshman game begins at 4 p.m.

Coronation: In between the junior varsity and varsity boys basketball game against the Windsor Owls will be coronation.

Queen candidates are Chevelle Ammerman, Abigail Bailey, Natalie Click, Jillian Danna;

Megan Hinson, Piper Jones, Breanna Pruitt and Haylee Sanders.

King candidates are Elijah Algiere, Brady Branscum, Austin Chandler, Stephen Cordia, Austin Dominguez, Dominick Obie;

Wyatt Sanders, and Jonah Thurman. Crown bearers are Brynn Butenhoff and Jagger Davis.

Retiring queen and king are Anna Merseal and Noah Cohen.

Dance: The dance will be following the games until 11 p.m. in the SCHS cafeteria. Tickets are available in advance for SCHS students for $4 or at the door for $6.

Guest tickets are $6 and must complete a guest form available in the high school office to be submitted by Wednesday, Dec. 20, by 3:15 p.m.
