Camper Blaze

A St. Clair firefighter finishes putting out a fire that destroyed a 2017 Torque camper Thursday, Nov. 2. It took firefighters 15-20 minutes to bring the fire under control. There were no injuries reported and the camper is a total loss.

St. Clair firefighters responded to a vehicle fire at the 1700 block of Whispering Oaks Drive Thursday, Nov. 2, at 1:06 p.m.

Fire Capt. Dan Cooley said when crews arrived on the scene, a large fifth-wheel camper was in flames, located next to the garage of the residence.

It took firefighters 15-20 minutes to bring the fire under control. There were no injuries reported and no one was inside the camper at the time of the fire, according to Cooley.

The camper is a total loss and the fire is under investigation.
