St. Clair firefighters responded to a residential fire Tuesday, Nov. 7, at 7:45 p.m. near the 2600 block of Highway 30.

Fire Capt. Dan Cooley said when crews arrived on the scene, the single-story home was in flames.

A portion of Highway 30 was closed to accommodate the equipment needed to put out the fire.

Crews were able to control the fire within 30 minutes and Highway 30 reopened, according to Cooley.

Firefighters remained on the scene for about two hours and left around 9:45 p.m.

St. Clair was assisted by Cedar Hill and Boles fire districts, as well as St. Clair Ambulance.

There were no injuries reported. The fire is under investigation, according to Cooley.
