St. Clair firefighters extinguished a residential fire Tuesday morning, Sept. 4.

Crews were dispatched to the 100 block of T-Box Road. When they arrived on the scene, a split-level house had heavy smoke coming from the attic, according to Fire Capt. Dan Cooley.

He said firefighters had the blaze under control within 25 minutes. They left the scene around 10 a.m.

The fire is under investigation, according to Cooley. St. Clair was assisted by Union and Boles Fire Districts and St. Clair Ambulance.
