St. Clair firefighters responded to a residential fire just outside city limits Wednesday night Feb. 21. No injuries were reported.
Around 9 p.m., crews were dispatched to the 1900 block of West Springfield Road. Upon arrival, a two-story farm house was involved in flames, according to Fire Capt. Dan Cooley.
The fire was mainly throughout the second level of the house.
Around 10:15 p.m., the fire was under control. Crews remained on scene for several hours extinguishing any hidden hot spots or small flames.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, according to Cooley.
