A free dinning experience for senior residents called Choice Access will be Tuesday, Feb. 6, starting at 10:30 a.m. at Frick’s Market in Union.
Choice Access is an award-winning program offered by Mid East Area Agency on Aging in collaboration with Frick’s Market in Union. The event is for older adults to learn, socialize and enjoy healthy meals in their community.
St. Clair, Sullivan, Union and Washington senior centers are participating in the program.
Mary Baldwin, St. Clair Senior Center administrator, said seniors can pick out an entree, sides and a dessert.
In addition to a meal, she said they are working on getting a nutritionist and a pharmacist there to answer questions and give information, as well as getting together a possible bingo game.
“It’s just a really good opportunity if they don’t want to come into the senior center, they can go to Frick’s and socialize right there,” Baldwin said.
The event is free, however donations will be accepted. Participants must be 60 years or older. The event will be in the lower cafe at Frick’s Market, which is located at 401 Central Ave. in Union.
