Meth Lab Found In Vehicle

St. Clair Police found a meth lab in a vehicle at Fast Lane Gas station Wednesday morning.

St. Clair Police found a meth lab in a vehicle at Fast Lane Gas station Wednesday morning, May 16.

Officers were dispatched to 8299 Highway 47 at 7:45 a.m. for reports of a male slumped over a steering wheel, according to Police Chief Bill Hammack. Officers woke the man up and removed him from the vehicle.

The man was identified as Ronald J. Wertenberger, 28, St. Clair. Hammack said Wertenberger had two active warrants for traffic violations

Upon a search of the vehicle, a meth lab was located.

The Multi-County Narcotics and Violent Crimes Enforcement Unit was called to the scene to assist with the investigation.

Detectives confirmed a meth lab was in the vehicle and meth also was seized.

Werternberger was arrested on warrants and for the meth lab. The Fast Lane Gas Station parking lot was closed for about an hour and has reopened.
