The Lonedell R-XIV School District passed its tax rate for the 2017-18 school year Monday evening.
In a phone interview Wednesday, Superintendent Jenny Ulrich said the school board unanimously voted to keep the tax rate the same as last year at a rate of $3.86 per $100 assessed valuation.
The projected amount of revenue amounts to $1,467,160 and of that revenue, $131,691 would go toward debt services, Ulrich said.
Total assessed valuation amounts to $37,951,317 for this year, which increased more than $1.6 million from last year according to the tax rate hearing agenda.
No comments were made by residents during the public hearing, according to Ulrich.
Fire Protection District
On Aug. 15, the St. Clair Fire Protection District set its tax rate for this year at $0.5213 per $100 assessed valuation.
The projected revenue amounts to $1,168,733.62, according to the district’s meeting minutes. The county’s assessed valuation for real estate property is approximately $184 million and personal property more than $40 million.
