St. Clair celebrated the upcoming Independence Day holiday a little early on Saturday night as J&M Displays put on the city’s annual fireworks display at Orchard Park. Thousands of people crowded into the park, and others watched from nearby yards and parking lots, as more than 1,000 shells were launched into the air. The fireworks originally were scheduled to conclude the annual Freedom Fest event on June 21, but inclement weather delayed the show for a week. To view an online gallery, visit www.emissourian.com.
