Morning Freshness

The St. Clair Route 66 Farmers Market is in full swing on Saturday mornings in the grassy area next to Health Mart Pharmacy along North Commercial Avenue. Here, while Olivia Zeman, left, tastes a sample, Reagan Miller and Corrigan Zeman help serve homemade cinnamon rolls to customers at the Friends for Change booth last Saturday. The group is spearheading an outdoor amphitheater project in Evergreen Park and are using proceeds from the cinnamon rolls to go toward expenses. Suzy Haverstick, the grandmother of the Zeman children, is supervising the teenage girls as they work on the project. The Route 66 Farmers Market is open from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m
