Four area residents were injured in a car crash Tuesday morning, May 8, in Crawford County.

Harold L. Harrison, 66, Sullivan, was driving a 2015 Chevrolet Malibu eastbound on Old Route 66, east of Highway UU, when his vehicle failed to yield to another car at 7:40 a.m., according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol preliminary report.

Harrison’s vehicle failed to yield to a 2008 Ford Fusion headed westbound driven by Sean A. Bindschusz, 34, Leasburg. Both vehicles came to a stop off the road.

The drivers, Harrison and Bindschusz sought their own medical treatment.

Passengers in the Fusion, Brantley T. Lake, 7, Leasburg and Emberly S. Lake, 6, Leasburg, were taken to Missouri Baptist Hospital Sullivan with injuries.

Harrison and Bindschusz were wearing a seat belt. Passengers in the Fusion were not wearing seat belts, the patrol said.
