A Sullivan woman was seriously injured after her car overturned Tuesday, Sept. 26, in Crawford County.
Susan Graddy, Sullivan, 36, was driving a 2001 Izuzu Rodeo eastbound on North Outer Road when she swerved to avoid hitting an animal. She ended up striking the animal and driving off the right side of the roadway. Graddy over corrected and drove off the left side of the roadway, overturned and was ejected from the vehicle, according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol preliminary report.
She was airlifted to Mercy Hospital Creve Coeur. Passenger Allen Graddy, 29, Cuba, was taken to Missouri Baptist Hospital Sullivan. Both were not wearing seat belts, according to the patrol.
