A Bourbon woman was injured in a car crash Sunday, Dec. 24, on Interstate 44.
Lesia D. Hormann, 48, Bourbon, was driving a 2007 Ford F-150 eastbound on I-44 at the 233 mile marker when she started going too fast for weather conditions at 10:15 a.m., according to a Missouri State Highway Patrol preliminary report.
While Hormann attempted to avoid slowed vehicles, she began to slide on the snow covered road. She slid off the right side of the road and struck the guardrail and overturned.
Hormann was taken to Missouri Baptist Hospital for injuries. She was wearing a seat belt, the patrol said.
