The superintedent at Meramec Lakes Golf Course east of St. Clair was found safe and uninjured early Wednesday after he went missing the evening before.

The Franklin County Sheriff's Office stated through a press release that the 45-year-old man left the clubhouse area in a golf cart to go fishing on the grounds at about 6 p.m. Tuesday. When the wife of the man, identified as Willie Nelson, woke up at about 1:30 a.m. Wednesday and realized he had not come home, she went searching the golf course grounds for him.
