Lonedell School was placed on lockdown status for a couple of hours Friday morning as a precautionary measure after two Jefferson County deputies were shot during a confrontation in Cedar Hill during the overnight hours and the suspect remained on the run.

The lockdown was lifted, however, at about 9 a.m. after school officials were told that the man was killed in Jefferson County by law enforcement.
