All gasoline pumps were closed for service at midday Tuesday at the St. Clair Phillips 66 Fast Lane Service Station after witnesses said a camper being pulled by a pickup truck backed into one of the pumps and caused it to leak.

Emergency personnel were called to the scene shortly before noon to begin assessment and cleanup duties. All pumps were shut down as a precaution. Crews remained on the scene for several hours after the incident.

Pumps were operational again later in the day on Tuesday.

The convenience store remained open for business throughout the ordeal.

The service station is located at 8299 Highway 47 on the north side of St. Clair.

There were no injuries.

Emergency personnel were not available for comment.
