Although it will be six months before the public will see the content, work has begun to construct a new city of Pacific website.
Civic Plus, headquartered in Kansas, was selected as the developer and provider of a new webpage at a cost of approximately $25,000 as a one-time fee and $3,000 in annual management fees.
Holly Brown, project manager, issued a time line for the project to kick off Tuesday, Jan. 9, and a completed production website sent to the city for review by May 18.
In January, the firm will develop the layout and color scheme and discuss content preferences and process with city representatives. Layout and the design concepts will be unveiled Feb. 21.
After making any changes requested by the city, the firm hopes to have approval of the website design Friday, April 6.
Content development will begin April 27 with completion by May 18.
The webpage will be completely new, according to Brown.
“No content changes on your current website will be transferred to your new website,” she said.
Tentatively the new website is set to go live on Flag Day, Thursday, June 14.
