Tickets are now on sale for the Pacific Area Chamber of Commerce’s second annual Pianos for a Purpose fund-raising dinner and entertainment event.
The event will be held Saturday, Jan. 25, at the Pacific Eagles, 707 W. Congress.
Greg Myers will chair the event.
Phillip “Spanky” Manaois, a 1993 Pacific High School graduate, who has developed a following with his dueling pianos show, will be the headliner for the event. Music ranges from country to classical to rap, rock n roll and more.
The cost is $30 each or $25 with purchase of a table of eight. Each ticket allows one person in the door, for dinner and the show.
Dinner will begin at 6 p.m., with the show from 7 to 10 p.m.
The Chamber uses its voice and planning ability to organize a dinner and entertainment evening event which will attract a large audience. After paying the cost of the event, the Chamber splits the profits with the partnering organization.
The Pacific Soccer Association Liberty Field bathroom and concession stand project will share the profits from the event.
Recipient of the first Pianos for a Purpose that was held in 2013 went toward the Pacific High School School auditorium project. The school district received $4,000 in proceeds toward a new soundboard system.
Businesses can support the event by purchasing advertising banners in three categories — platinum, $500; gold, $250; or silver, $100. Banners need to be ordered by Jan 15.
